Bishop's Dinner

The parish was honoured on Tuesday 16 October by a visit from Bishop John Chapman. The main course was prepared under the expert supervision of Frank Sisson, with kitchen help from the Men's Group. Setup was also done by the Men's Group, with decoration and dessert provided by the ACW. Bishop John had the opportunity of meeting many parishioners during the evening. He addressed us on the topic of stewardship, comparing the crops produced by farmers with the cash which now is typically "harvested" by working people. In addition he stressed the need to provide time and talent for the ongoing work of the Church. We were all delighted to have had this chance to get together and to meet the new bishop.
