Following Wayne Whitney's decision to step down as choir director, the parish carried out an extensive search for a replacement - not an easy task, considering Wayne's outstanding musical leadership since 1998. The successful candidate is Hrvoje Peric, formerly the organist at the Church of Saint Michael and All Angels in Pierrefonds, Quebec. Hrvoje, who has just moved to Ottawa, hails originally from Cambridge, Ontario. He is looking forward to working with the choir at Saint James', and to getting acquainted with parishioners. We in turn welcome him to the parish and look forward to having him with us, beginning on Sunday September 6.
