Rideau River
Shoreline Cleanup St. James Youth Ministry organized their first Eco-justice project on September 26, 2009 at Rideau Hills Camp in Osgoode. As part of the TD Great Canadian Shoreline Clean-up (that takes place in a one week window each year in September), we cleaned up approximately one km of shoreline and managed to save several bags of garbage and recyclables from ending up in the Rideau River. It was nice to see other members at St. James' (many children and parishioners) join up with us in this fabulous eco-justice project. We are all looking forward to next September to do it again…This is a public clean-up so everyone is welcome to join us next September to help to save our environment…
